Living Crafts is the perfect destination for your next day trip giving your visitors a unique opportunity to connect with hundreds of artisans who are excited to share their stories, inspiration and expertise.
The craft festival is a one-stop creative shopping experience showcasing contemporary arts and crafts of an exceptional standard. Your group will experience amazing demonstrations of the creative process and have a rare chance to get hands-on and create their own works of art.
Living Crafts is a four day festival of art, craft and design that has supported outstanding contemporary designer-makers and artisans from across the UK since 1974.
We are looking forward to our next event from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 May 2027 in the beautiful parkland of Hatfield House in Hertfordshire.
Your ticket includes full entry to the event as well as access to Hatfield Park, its beautiful gardens and woodland walks (normally £17 when purchased separately).

Get hands on and creative

Your group can roll up their sleeves and join in a wide variety of creative and fun workshops led by expert tutors.

Try your hand at a potters wheel, fused glass, jewellery making, silk printing, chocolate and candle making, willow weaving, watercolour painting - to name just a few of the workshops on offer.

Workshops can be pre-booked in advance via our website and also on the day, however, we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. A full list of workshops and details will be available later this year on our Workshop page.

Make the most of your day
Your ticket to Living Crafts includes access to the extensive parkland and beautiful woodland walks at Hatfield House, including the famous Elizabeth Oak (normally £17). You can take a pleasant stroll past the impressive Jacobean facade of Hatfield House to the Stable Yard.
Guided tours, led by expert guides from Hatfield House, of the stunning Old Palace's West Gardens (childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I), including the Knot Garden can be added at a nominal fee (TBA).
Note: The main house is not open until June. For further information about Hatfield House, please visit their website.

Coach groups will be welcomed to the event by one of our team with coach drop-off, parking and pick-up near the event main entrance.

Drivers receive a complimentary admission ticket and a lunch voucher to use in our catering concessions.
