Meet the Maker: Corrie King

Introducing… Connie King of CK Leatherworks. One of our newest designers who will be exhibiting at our Cirencester Park Festival over the late May bank holiday: 29th – 31st May.

Connie is a traditional saddler of nearly 8 years, and produces handmade, bespoke leathergoods, from belts to dog collars and bridles.

All designs are lovingly handmade, and at the show you can watch first hand the level of detail that goes in to each product. Connie will be setting up a small work area to showcase the skills that it takes from start to finish when producing quality leather items. From cutting straps off a hide of leather to edging, staining, creasing, prepping and then stitching and finishing touches.

“I am fiercely proud of my profession because it's a huge part of who I am - I maintain so much pride in practicing a heritage craft which has been handed down from generation to generation.” Connie King

Do pop by and watch Connie at work if you attend our festival at Cirencester Park – and if you, like us are in awe of the heritage craft and skill that Connie has you can commission your own bespoke piece directly with her on the day!
