This prestigous show takes place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend against the backdrop of the imposing Blenheim Palace, just outside Oxford. A rich mix of high quality art, design and craft, together with the very best hand picked speciality food and drink, combine to bring together a summer show not to be missed. Art & Design Art, Design will host some of the UK’s finest contemporary artists and designers, craftsmen and women, featuring a vast selection of stylish work from around the country. They will be displaying original paintings, ceramics, furniture, jewellery, textiles, sculpture, glass, photography, silverware and much more. Many will be demonstrating their work and visitors will have the opportunity to get some hands on experience in some of the specialist workshops that will be running throughout the day. Tastes of Summer A Taste of Summer will be showcasing some of the best national and regional producers of food and drink. A feast for the eyes and for the palates, our delicious displays will be impossible to resist. Teeming with tastes and flavours, marquees filled with the very finest foods and drinks will bring a taste of summer to Oxfordshire. Organic produce, delicious cheeses, a chocolate heaven marquee and healthy fruit drinks and cordials made from the freshest ingredients are just a small sample of the delights on offer. Take a seat in our Cookery Theatre and see how the top chefs unlock the secrets of their favourite recipes whilst tutored wine tasting will give you tips on choosing the best wines for the summer.
Children of all ages have not been forgotten! They can get their hands dirty in our clay workshops; have a go at a variety of craft activities as well as learn how to cook and have fun in our exciting cookery workshops! Their day would not be complete without a visit to the Pleasure Gardens. Take a train ride to the Pleasure Gardens of Blenheim Palace on the narrow gauge railway adjacent to the showground and play in the Adventure Playground; venture into the famous Marlborough Maze or visit the beautiful butterflies in the Butterfly House.
