A Collagraph workshop with Kim Major-George, highly respected British collagraph artist and illustrator. A collagraph is produced when a printing plate is textured by scouring, peeling back and sticking on textured materials such as wallpaper, sand and organic matter, eg. rice and seeds. The plate is then sealed, inked and pulled through a press before being hand embellished. Each workshop will be about 1 hour long and the finished work can be taken home when dry. (Max. of 8 people per session. No children under 8 years).

From a range of prepared vessels, select your pot, choose the finish for your glaze and watch while it is fired in the outdoor furnace. No two pieces are ever the same. Stone Carving Simon Keeley, who has 15 years experience, has won various prestigious commissions and is a lecturer at West Dean College, will be demonstrating his work - try the art for yourself and see just how easy it isn't!
